I was not able to post anything in the last two months because I was traveling and then traveling again, and a couple of weeks ago, I got influenza type A. 2025 only started last week for me. Now, I need to catch up with readings and pending issues that are now piled up high.
At least, winter in the Kanto region is mild, and I can still go on long rides with my motorcycle and don’t feel too uncomfortable like in mid-summer here.
This Week’s Books
I am now reading Susan Wise’s “The Well-Trained Mind,” rereading Anthony Lewis’ “The Basics of Bitcoins and Blockchains,” and Thomas Bokenkotter’s “A Concise History of the Catholic Church.”
Some people argue that it is not possible to read more than one book simultaneously. I disagree. You need the discipline to read them regularly (every day is best) and take consistent, clear notes.

3. It happened a while ago, but I am still baffled by the ad. It made no sense at all for a company that sells cars. The problem was not about “genders” but the objective of the ad and the alienation of the company’s customer base. I don’t care about Jaguar cars, by the way.
